This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
"SAVE ME!" They cry of every student project. Projects often mysteriously disappear, so we need flash drives to save our projects! I teach high school world history and try to integrate technology as much as possible.
It is agonizing to watch my students toil for collective hours on a project they are so proud of and then see them crushed when malfunctions erase it all in seconds. In our school the computers have some kind of software or something that erases all things you save to them when you power down and while some students do have their own flash drives, something always seems to happen to those projects too... So I need to be able to offer a solution of a flash drive to save to that doesn't leave class (so projects will be there!).
I need a class set of flash drives to help eliminate this problem. With this resource, each student would be assigned a drive (3 students to a drive as I teach 3 periods of high school world history). Then as we work on projects, they can be saved and when students return the next day to begin working again...their project will be there to greet them!
Your help in funding this project will make sure that hard work is protected and not destroyed. The self confidence of my students will soar with each project they are able to create and present!
