My Project
These library tools will directly impact learning by protecting our heavily used books from damage, allowing us to create durable educational materials, and enabling digital access during research. The iPad and charging station ensure students can access online resources even if they don't have devices at home, while the laminating sheets and binding equipment help us create lasting study guides and preserve student-created projects.
This project's goals include extending the life of our library books through proper repair and preservation and creating durable educational materials that multiple classes can reuse.
These materials will also provide equitable digital access for research and learning while enabling students to create professional-looking projects and presentations. All of this will help reduce library supply costs by adequately maintaining our materials.
Our middle school students are curious and creative learners who actively use the library for traditional and digital research. Despite coming from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, they share an enthusiasm for learning and take pride in creating high-quality projects. Many rely on the library as their primary access point for books and technology, making it crucial to maintain and protect our resources.
