Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Preparing students for standardized testing is very challenging. Regardless of individual capabilities, students will be expected to demonstrate mastery of learning standards. With so much at stake, the topic of testing creates a heightened level of frustration. When this occurs, motivating students to learn can be difficult. When the competitors are social media and video games, teachers must continuously find ways to make learning engaging, challenging, and fun-filled. However, I want to help the students to remain focused on pressing forward and celebrating successes. Help me to provide snacks to keep students focused on learning! This will help to keep them excited and crystalize a sense of grit, achievement, pride, and self-confidence which are essential elements for academic and personal growth.

These snacks will be issued during afterschool program to students who are going the extra mile to increase endurance and attain academic success.

Snacks are always impactful to satisfy hunger students students face while participating in an extended day of learning. While caring to their needs, I will have instill in our students to believe in themselves, strive towards the mark, and achieve their goals. I hope to empower and encourage students to push themselves towards mastery of academic skills. These snacks will be issued to students weekly. My students are resilient and determined. Students will be proud of themselves and confident that they can excel beyond the academic hurdle. Let’s rally around children while satisfying their hunger.
