Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

E-Cubed Academy is an urban public schools. We want to make sure our students have the same opportunities as other students in different schools and different districts. The SAT can be a barrier from those opportunities. Our students are capable to do well on the SAT. But sometimes doubt and fear can drive students to write off the SAT as something unattainable.

We would like to incentivize students to practice SAT style questions on Khan Academy.

We have listed items we think students will like that may motivate them to practice for the SAT such as gift cards and technology. When students reach 100% Proficiency on a skill in Khan Academy, they will receive a raffle ticket for the gift cards and other prizes you so generously donate. We will will then randomly choose raffle tickets to hand out the gift cards and prizes. Our goal is to motivate student to practice for the SAT who would otherwise doubt they could ever improve. Help us break the barriers and supply incentives for students to practice for the SAT.
