My Students

I am currently a special education teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district. My special education students all have disabilities ranging from specific learning disabilities, autism, and other health impairments. My students have challenges both in and outside of the school setting. Because of these challenges, I am looking to provide them with the resources needed in and outside of the classroom as well as the basic self-help and learning readiness skills needed.

My Project

After almost a year of being away from the classroom, I would love to have sanitizing materials to make sure my students are learning throughout the day in a clean and sanitized environment, and I am teaching in one as well. I would also like to provide snacks and other goodies to my students to encourage and motivate them to continue to work hard and achieve in spite of our current COVID situation. Currently, we are all awaiting and preparing for the announcement of when we will return to in person, hybrid learning. As we all know, the return of in person learning has most of us anxious, nervous, and uncertain. Alleviating some of these feelings would be much appreciated by providing the cleanliness and motivation to students to help them adjust and achieve.
