My Students

Rural schools play an important role in their communities, serving many functions beyond education. They often act as the center of social, recreational and cultural life in their communities and my school fits neatly into that puzzle. Our learning environment is close knit, this invites strong support from parents and community members as well as closer working relationships among the school staff. My school has had great success in closing the achievement gap.

Our mission is to “provide appropriate learning experiences and to develop attributes in our children, enabling them to become responsible citizens in partnership with the home, school, and community.” Our students are diverse learners whose needs must be individualized.

The students enjoy working cooperatively and creating products of learning as a team.

My Project

I am passionate about meeting the needs of my students academically and developmentally. My desire is to allow flexible seating that will give my students an opportunity to move, create, and explore all while practicing social distancing during this unprecedented time.

I am a first year teacher establishing my new classroom and I want to provide my students with a safe environment that is equipped with the basic essentials and resources they will need to be successful.

Our learning environment is extremely important. An educational and stimulating environment promotes healthy growth and brain development by providing a child with love, emotional support, and opportunities for learning and exploration.
