Help me give my students 2 Makita belt sanders and some sanding belts. These two sanders help the students work on projects for years to come. They are very expensive, but very important.

My Students
The students in the shop are special because they love to be there. The students come into the shop and and are so excited to get to learn with their hands. In most other classrooms they learn by sitting in a desk and having the teacher present to them before they do their work. In the shop the students are shown how to safely operate machines and then they get to experience it.
The students here also love shop because most do not see college as a realistic option in our community, but they do see going to work in the trades as a real option.
They know that if they can learn a trade or skill it will help them earn more and that if they love what they do for work they will never work a day in their life.
My Project
We will use the sanders to help make cutting boards with wood inlay. This is a great project because the students learn many of the machines in the shop with this beginners project. Many of the students do such a great job with the cutting boards that their parents never use them but instead put them up as decoration.
We also use the sanders to help the students make log furniture.
This project is awesome because we go out into the woods and harvest our own logs to use and the students get to see how to use wood from a tree all the way to a finished project.
