This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Sand play for pre-kindergarten children has many surprising benefits for development, such as enhancing motor skills, social and emotional awareness, improving language and speech, sparking creativity and improving concepts of mathematics and science.
Sand play is sensory play, therefore it opens the opportunity for learning through curiosity, problem-solving, exploration and creativity.
The four sensory sand kits in this project will allow students to work with sculptural sand and engaging sand toys to create new learning play environments. The students will love creating construction zones, dinosaurs worlds, water scapes and ice cream shops with their sensory sand kits.
These sensory sand kits will be a fun and exciting addition to our sand and water area in our Dual Language Polish PreK classroom. Thank you in advance for your support.
