Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help me give my students a new sand and water table to use for learning. The water table is not just for water and sand play but for different learning activities our students do throughout the school year. For example, we turn the water table into a snow sensory table when learning about snow and arctic animals or into a tree sensory table when learning about trees.
This water/sand table is great for preschool aged students as it allows toddlers to let loose and have fun while developing problem solving skills, fine and gross motor skills, creativity, and language.
Simple activities such as pouring water from a container to another serve as building blocks for their future understanding of science concepts such as physics. I just know my students will have a great time using the water and sand table.
