My Project
Sand and water tables are great tools in the classroom. Children love to play in sand and water. These activities provide countless hours of fun and creativity and stretch the imagination.
Our students learn through a variety of methods and tools.
The children in my classroom have sensory challenges, so the water and the sand table will utilized for sensory needs. Secondly, students will use the water and sand table as an extension of science, literacy, and math lessons.
As an extension of lessons, students will trace letters and numbers in sand or use the water table to explore science topics such as floating, sinking, colors, and squirting with syringes, among other lessons taught to students.
