My Students

My kindergarten class is an amazing group of diverse learners. This San Francisco classroom is an inclusion class, meaning some of the students have special needs. My goal as their teacher is to differentiate instruction, often with additional resources, to meet their needs. As a third year teacher, my classroom supplies and resources are not what they should be, especially to support the unique needs in my classroom.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to bring additional resources and experiences to my unique group of students.

I want to increase their access to technology, STEM, diverse books, tools for writing, and so much more. I am grateful for DonorsChoose.org for giving my classroom the opportunity to grow and learn beyond what I can give them.

My Project

Each year, our kindergarten classes get the privilege of going to visit Elkus Ranch! Elkus Ranch is a farm in Half Moon Bay, where students get the opportunity to learn about plant and animal care on a farm. They will plant sprouts, feed animals, learn about farm life, and much more. This trip is our favorite trip of the year and something the students remember for the rest of their lives.

It is so important for students living in the urban city of San Francisco to interact with plants and animals in this amazing farm setting.

Many of our students have never been to a farm or seen farm animals. This trip is well worth the money, but we need support in financing the entry cost for all four of our kindergarten classes. The kids are so excited and we are grateful for any and all donations!
