This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are preschool age, 4 and 5 years old. Despite the many challenges they may face before coming to school, they are eager to explore and learn. The students are at-risk young children from various demographic factors, cultures, home environments and low socio-economic status. They are limited to educational experiences outside their homes. With creative and meaningful activities, the students can show pride in their efforts. Head Start promotes school readiness for children in low-income families by offering educational, nutritional, health, social, and other services.

My Project

This Samsung galaxy tab with a green case will provide the children in my learning environment an opportunity to learn through the use of technology. The children in the classroom took a vote on this donors choose project and a tablet won ten to three. So, I believe the children are excited with the anticipation of this project. This tablet will promote social and emotional skills by allowing two children taking turns sharing the tablet and helping one another win games and giving one another positive encouragement. This tablet will also promote cognitive skills when learning new approaches to solve problems faced on games. Please help me provide children from diverse backgrounds with an opportunity to learn through the exploration of technology.
