My Project

Hi!

I teach special education inclusion at the elementary level.

I push in to support my students, and also pull them out to my room to provide lessons in reading and math as well as social/emotional/behavioral support. I am asking for items to support my students' learning within my setting. I would like to use the donations to create a relaxing, welcoming classroom, where students can learn, and lessen the stigma of the "resource room".

Because I am not a general education teacher, I do not get school supplies provided by parents at the beginning of the year. Instead, all supplies we use in my room are provided by me. I have students with a wide range of strengths and needs, and I try to accommodate all students with materials to support their functioning and learning. I ask for donations so that my classroom is ready for them to learn and all the materials they need are in my room, no matter what goal we are working on.
