My Project

Hi, my name is Mrs. Helton, and I’m so excited to be moving to third grade and looping with my amazing second-grade class!

Many of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, and for many of them, school is their one safe and consistent place.

I want to create a warm, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment where they feel valued and excited to learn every day. The items on my DonorsChoose list will help me build that space—one that is not only cozy and inviting, but also filled with fun, hands-on learning opportunities. I have implemented flexible seating for many years. However, the cost of this seating can be pretty pricy. By adding a little at a time, I can provide my students with many choices. Having built deep, meaningful connections with these kiddos, I can look for things to support them in reaching their full academic potential. Your support would mean the world to us and will make a lasting impact on these incredible kids. Thank you for considering a donation!
