I want my students to understand their personal impact on our planet and the immediate impact on local ecosystems. I want them to understand how to use digital cameras to document their findings and promote their salmon raising experience.
We are a small rural community with limited funding for "extra" things especially a project of this magnitude.
A digital camera will allow students to take documentary pictures, download them and create computer presentations. Students will gain first-hand experience with technology such as Power Point and Microsoft Word. They will use it to document the progress of the salmon from egg to release. Students will use how to download pictures and use them in presentations. Students will acquire hands-on technology experience!
You will help us document our experience and bring a real-life problem: the deterioration of salmon in fresh water areas, into my classroom. I can begin to train the future stewards of our precious Earth to understand their impact on our planet.
