My Project
My students are enthusiastic, creative, and eager to take on real-world engineering challenges. In our Design and Engineering class, we are taking on an exciting project—building a street-legal electric vehicle! This project has been tasked to high school and college students nationwide, and our 8th grade students are ready to tackle it.
As we work with electrical systems and vehicle components, safety is our top priority.
To ensure students can confidently and securely engage in our project, we need Class 0 safety gloves, a CAT 3 multimeter, and an insulated tool set. These essential tools will allow students to:
- Safely handle high-voltage components while wiring our electric vehicle.
- Accurately measure voltage, resistance, and continuity to troubleshoot and optimize our design.
- Use insulated tools to prevent accidental electrical hazards during assembly.
By equipping our classroom with the proper safety gear, we can ensure that students not only gain technical skills in electrical engineering but also learn the importance of workplace safety in STEM fields.
