My Students
We are a tiny rural district in Southern Arkansas. We're Title I with 96% free or reduced lunch. Our students struggle for resources in the best of times and the COVID-19 situation is forcing many of our students who have compromised immune systems or who live with relatives with compromised immune systems.
My Project
We're going to be more crowded than last year and COVID is still raging. We need sanitation supplies, masks, and gloves so that we can prevent the spread of the virus as much as possible. The more cleaning and masking we can do the better off we'll be. My students were really good about wearing masks last year if they had them. By being able to hand them one, or replace one that becomes soiled or damaged, I'm hoping they will voluntarily wear them this year too!
We also have procedures in place to clean as students change classes, but it will take far more spray and wipes than I currently have.
