My virtual classroom will be filled with amazing students that are fun, loving, energetic five and six year olds. My Kindergartners face a variety of challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic in the community, at home, and with distance learning. I would like to be able to support their health and safety through this project.
All of my students are wonderful little learners who have varied educational, social and personal needs.
My students come from diverse backgrounds and we work everyday to support each individual student in their journey. We adapt the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the students and to increase their opportunities to maintain, generalize, and transfer both academic and social skills to other environments. They need storage to keep their materials and work organized and safe from the spread of germs. It will also develop responsibility and independence as they care for their own materials.
My Project
The storage containers will help keep students healthy and foster independence and responsibility with my incoming students. They will be able to choose and clean up their materials using the organized system of the easily accessible storage containers.
If we continue Distance Learning, the storage container will be a perfect solution for students and families to keep organized and foster independence at home.
In our classroom, the storage containers will make it easy for students to access learning materials and activities. This project includes storage containers that will hold individual student supplies to help keep students safe and virus free. The plastic and mesh pouches will contain individual reading and math materials that each student will need because we will not be able to share materials. The Sit Spots will help us maintain appropriate social distancing in the classroom.
