My Students
My students walk into my classroom every day full of energy and eager to learn. They are always excited about the next mini engineering project that they will be assigned. They actively explore and engage in science and engineering through completing hands-on projects, where they research, built and test structures that include bridges, cars and safety contraptions.
My students are from diverse backgrounds: girls, minorities, immigrants, and students with disabilities.
We are a large school that serves 4,000 students; all from diverse backgrounds. Our school is the most diverse school in our state and we take pride in CARE-ing about our students. We believe that we should: C-Challenge students, A-Achieve academic excellence, R-Respect differences, E-Engage all students in the learning process.
My Project
This is the first time that we are offering engineering at our school and my students are eager to take part in the activities and learn the skills required to make them future engineers.
In order to provide them with a nurturing and safe environment, my students need safety glasses.
Safety glasses will provide them with the protection that they need as they are learning and using power tools. The glasses will protect them as they eagerly test their projects that propel and project objects across the room. Without the safety glasses, we cannot engage in these activities, limiting my students' creativity and productivity.
Please help provide my students with the safety glasses that they need.
