it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Through Donor's Choose, my campus was generously blessed with a laser engraver. While in the process of learning how to safely use this amazing STEM tool, it became abundantly clear that we needed a honeycomb working bed in order to keep the school from potentially burning down. I pride myself in wanting to ignite passion for learning and not ignite four alarm fires...
For this reason, I am requesting a steel honeycomb working bed, as well as acrylic and wood materials that can be used with the laser engraver.
Having a safe area to use the engraver is obviously a top priority. The steel honeycomb bed will allow for the laser to have a protective base to safely work on. It is also important that we have materials to use with the engraver as well. The engraver won't have much use without these materials. Therefore the wood and acrylic are in this project so that students have materials to use with the machine.
My students are super excited to use the laser engraver. They cannot wait to have these supplies in order to be able to use this incredible machine.
