Throughout the year, much of my reading instruction is delivered around my kidney table. To date, I have 5 stools that I purchased from a colleague (four years ago) due to the fact that I needed them quickly when I was placed into my current position. However, the more these stools are used, the more concerned I become as they are beginning to deteriorate quite rapidly.
Safety is my top priority in my classroom, and I no longer feel confident that my stools are the safest seating option for my students.
Students tipping in my stools is another concern of mine. Despite the many "four on the floor" reminders I give to my students, many students have fallen off their stools recently. Due to the sturdy nature of the stools I have selected, this possibility would be virtually eliminated. I am confident that these Flex-Space Stools would be among the safest seating option for my students.
