Help me give my students a great start to the school year by providing some essential materials that will assist my students in their work at home or in the classroom.
In the school building or virtually, my classroom will be filled with amazing students that are fun, loving, energetic five and six year olds. My Kindergartners face a variety of challenges due to the coronavirus pandemic in the community, at home, and with distance learning. I would like to be able to support their health and safety through this project.
I look forward to working with my fantastic Kindergarten students every year, who have so much spunk and energy and are always ready to learn.
My students come from diverse backgrounds and we work every day to support each individual student in their journey. We adapt the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the students and to increase their opportunities to maintain, generalize, and transfer both academic and social skills to other environments. They need individual materials and supplies to stay safe from the spread of germs. It will also develop responsibility and independence as they care for their own materials.
My Project
Through the generosity of the Donors Choose Community, I was able to purchase storage containers and writing supplies for each student in my class. Now it is time, to fill the containers with the literacy and math materials my students need in order to complete learning activities. The laminator will enable me to protect each child's work materials. The magnet math tools will assist students in being able to show their work online or in class.
Our literacy and math tools will be organized and prepared to go back and forth from school to home which will help bridge the gap from our online learning platform to classroom learning.
Students having their own supplies will be a helpful tool to push them to participate and illustrate their thought process in a quick and efficient way.
Therefore, it is very important that I have the resources next school year to help my students grasp the concepts they need in order to be successful. We will use all of these basic staples on a daily basis to gain understanding in all academic areas.
