My students are coming in for blended learning. They spend some days home and some days they come in the building. and this is where they are experiencing socialization. They need support in each academic area due to being out of school since March. I want the students to be comfortable and excited about learning. I need them to be safe as well.
Due to Covid-19, schools are facing many challenges.
Please help me give every child an opportunity to learn safely. I am a literacy coach in a Title I school. All students get free or reduced lunch.
On November 30, NYC stated that they will be allowing a second chance for parents to opt into attending school. all schools were open in September. To prepare my classroom for safety, I am requesting plexiglass and kid-friendly chairs to use to make sneeze and cough guards to protect my students. Also a kid-friendly environment.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a place In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our classroom door! The flexible seating will help with social distancing and grouping. The seats will be placed in the library area and used as a gathering place during shared or individual reading activities.
The clear shields will be placed on each child's desk for safety and protection.
This will be able to ease the minds of parents, teachers, and students while still allowing students to learn.
