This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These cheer mats will allow my students to learn new tumbling skills safely and with assurance. Not only will these mats help reduce or eliminate injury but it will increase confidence. As someone that is a supporter of sports and the arts, children gain social skills from physical movement just as much as reading a book. I would want my students to use these mats, so they can fail but never give up, which is such an important skill to learn. Having the confidence to get back up and continue trying.
