This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in an 8:1:1 Horizon program for students on the Autism Spectrum. All of my students in the classroom program are enthusiastic, energetic learners. Currently we are working on organizational skills.
Lockers will be key to helping them gain organizational skills!
I want my students to be able to advocate for themselves and take ownership in their learning. This includes utilizing lockers independently and being responsible for their learning materials. These lockers will also help increase their executive functioning and their fine motor skills.
Lastly, this will allow my students to have the same experience as their fellow middle school peers.
