My Project
Students deserve a safe learning environment. Ke Kula ʻO ʻEhunuikaimalino is the only Hawaiian immersion school on the west side of Hawaiʻi Island. Our school is currently overpopulated and we lack many things, specifically facilities. This summer, the middle school is moving to a building that is not quite ready to be a suitable learning environment.
The goal of this project is to provide a covering over the wood flooring that contains asbestos.
The wood flooring currently in place has been painted over and will also be polished; however, there are still areas of exposed mastic along the floors and baseboards.
My 8th-grade students deserve a safe learning environment. Donors Choose is an avenue I'm taking to provide the best learning environment possible for the students. Please consider supporting my project and helping me to provide a safe and equitable learning space for my 8th-grade students. Mahalo.
