This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Proper skateboarding ramps and equipment can significantly enhance the environment for immigrant students at a high school, fostering a safe and inclusive space. By providing high-quality skateboarding infrastructure, schools create opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds to come together, share experiences, and build a sense of community.

Access to proper skateboarding facilities allows immigrant students to engage in a popular sport that encourages creativity, self-expression, and social interaction.

Skateboarding not only promotes physical activity but also helps students form friendships, learn new skills, and gain confidence, all of which are essential for their overall development and sense of belonging.

Skateboarding serves as a universal language that transcends cultural and linguistic barriers, enabling newcomer students to connect with peers regardless of their backgrounds. This shared interest can lead to the formation of a supportive community where all students feel valued and included. By investing in skateboarding ramps and equipment, high schools can create an environment where immigrant students thrive and contribute to a vibrant school culture.
