it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As the new school social worker, I have been hired to support students who require additional socio-emotional support post pandemic.
I look forward to supporting our students with improving their social skills, academic engagement and the development of appropriate coping skills.
My Project
Our students have returned with an increased need for mental health support as the pandemic has caused stressors in many aspects of their lives. As the new school social worker my goal is to implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques through support groups and one to one counseling. The books I have selected will assist me in guiding our middle schoolers through fun and engaging activities that will create positive behavior changes in school and out in the world. The classroom supply will allow me to keep a safe, clean and organized space for our students.
