My Students

I am a veteran teacher with with over 30 years experience; with 20 kindergarten students in a suburban school. We are a school which houses pre - K through grade 1. We are a school with students of many diverse backgrounds. Many students come from single parent families. Many students are having difficulties with focusing on completing classwork. More than half of my students come from low income households.

I think it is important to help take the worry of school supplies off of my students and their parents.

I want my students coming to school and being successful and to not worry about not having the materials that they need. With Covid-19 students will need their own supplies and not share them with the class. These essential school supplies will help us start the school year off on the right track.

My Project

Many of my students come from low economic families and do not have access to school supplies of crayons, scissors, glue sticks etc. In a kindergarten classroom we do many hands-on projects such as alphabet and math centers, in which student need these supplies to be successful.

With these new school supplies my students will have the materials needed to adequately and properly complete their work whether in school or at home.

With Covid-19 each student will have access to their own supplies in a pencil case and box.
