My Students
My students are amazing people who come from a low income housing project. The students in my class love coming to school where they are safe, fed, cared for and taught by someone who really cares about them.
I teach math to grades 5/6 and I enjoy helping them learn to love math and not be intimated by it.
My Project
As we prepare to return to the classroom during a pandemic, there are so many safety precautions to consider. From masks, to gloves to hand sanitizer and trying to keep them six feet away from each other, an air purifier would be extremely helpful to circulate and keep the air we breath clean. Finishing our year last year remotely was so hard on both the teachers and the students. I am looking forward to being back in the classroom with my students and want to ensure all of our safety.
There are so many unknowns with the Covid 19 pandemic but I'd like to do everything in my power to keep my classroom clean and sanitized and I think this air purifier will be a great help in trying to do this.
My students need to come to school everyday for many reasons. Their education is the way out of poverty and they are provided with love and food throughout the day.
