This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me give my students the resources they need when they are having a difficult moment in school. My students are excited to start school. They are enthusiastic learners and ready to succeed in kindergarten. My project will help my student to regulate calm-down corners allow kids to be aware of their own emotions.

Kids learn how to identify their emotions so they can better regulate them.

Being able to calm yourself when emotions run high – or self-regulate – is a learned skill.

Calm-down corners provide a safe space for kids to process these emotions.
