My Students
My students are learning Korean as their second language. Most of my students are not Korean. They are learning Korean to fulfill their foreign language credits in order to receive a high school diploma. I also teach second and third-generation Korean Americans.
My students come from all parts of Queens with various economic, educational, cultural and language backgrounds.
They learn the Korean language, culture, and heritage in my class and we need a lot of resources since the city budget is very tight on education.
My Project
We are back in school and we need disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizers for our students and teachers. My colleagues and I are very glad to be back in our classrooms but we do not feel safe with a minimal amount of disinfecting supplies.
We would really appreciate it if donors can contribute these supplies for all the students and teachers for our department.
Once the materials come, I will share them with my colleagues so we can work in a safer and healthier environment. If we have these supplies, it will make our students feel safe to come and study, too.
