Safe Learning Environment

Help me give my students a cozy corner for reading, a portable whiteboard for instruction and a new rug for whole group time.

My Project

My students have moderate to severe special needs. It is so important to meet their needs while providing authentic and meaningful learning experiences. I have one particular student who feels the safest in small spaces. Currently, she enjoys laying under her desk or tables. The tent would be an awesome place for her to go when she is over stimulated that is safe and specific to her needs.

The rug will help us have a more comfortable spot for students to sit during whole group activities.

Currently, my students have to sit on the floor or small mats because we do not have a rug. A rug would make the space feel more inviting and comfortable for our students.

Lastly, the whiteboard will help me have lessons in different spaces to accomodate for student needs. It is also magnetic so that I can hold materials on the board to increase learning.
