How will the specific items you’re requesting make a difference in their learning?
The requested items—such as organization systems, calming classroom decor tools, and visual aids—will create a safer, more inclusive classroom environment.
These resources will help students manage stress, regulate emotions, and focus on learning. By offering comfortable seating and sensory tools, students will feel more at ease, reducing anxiety and increasing engagement. Visual aids will provide students with clear cues for emotional regulation and social interaction, allowing them to better navigate challenges and participate in classroom activities.
What are your goals for this project?
My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn. Specifically, I want to:
-Foster emotional well-being and self-regulation through calming tools and a welcoming environment.
-Promote inclusivity by meeting the diverse needs of all students, ensuring they feel valued and understood.
-Encourage academic success by minimizing distractions and anxiety, enabling students to focus and take academic risks.
-Build a sense of community, where students feel comfortable collaborating and engaging with one another
What makes your students special?
My students are resilient, creative, and diverse. They come from various backgrounds and face unique challenges, but they all share a deep desire to learn and grow. Many of them require individualized support, and by providing a safe, nurturing space, I can help them overcome barriers to learning. Their ability to connect with one another, their curiosity, and their persistence make them exceptional, and I believe that with the right resources, they can thrive academically and personally.
