My Students

I work with students who are eager to learn and explore the world around them. They love outside activities that get them moving, or activities that allow them to just sit and ponder about the "wonders of nature." Due to our current situation, their learning experiences have been greatly effected by the Corona Virus pandemic. My students have been confined to their homes and unable to run and play or nurture their natural sense of curiosity.

Most of my students don't have access to items that could keep them active or engaged through meaningful outdoor learning experiences.

As the weather gets warmer, it would be great for them to get out and get moving while still following CDC guidelines for safe distancing.

My Project

We have all been affected by changes in our country due to Covid-19. Students have been confined to their homes and have had very little opportunities to get outside and enjoy fresh air and sunshine. It is very important that we keep our momentum going, and our spirits up. Bouncing balls, jumping rope, or simply sitting in your yard drawing pictures can bring a bit of "normal" back to my students. These and other outdoor activities are essential in providing healthy outlets for mind and body.

My students may not always have access to outside equipment or art supplies at home that they can use in outdoor spaces.

When students can get out of the house and jump and move, it helps them in so many ways. The health and wellness equipment will get bouncing balls, jump ropes, art supplies, bean bags, and more into their hands. They will have plenty of space outside to play with others and keep a safe distance.
