This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Creating a welcoming and safe classroom environment is a MUST! The students thrive off of flexible seating and wiggle room when learning. When they are having a rough day or are filled with emotions, being able to have a space where they can compose and calm themselves is necessary. My hope is to provide them with a space that makes their learning more accessible. I want to create a space that my students are excited to learn. This also includes some new classroom materials that haven't been passed down for years and drawn on. I want my students to see that I take pride in our space so that they desire the same.
