My students range in age from 5-9 years, from various urban backgrounds, and have a range of developmental and physical disabilities; including intellectual, emotional, autism spectrum disorder, and many other specific learning disabilities. Many of my students also receive ESL (English as a Second Language) services. All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.
They love to dance, love to create, and love to explore!
My students love art projects and using sensory materials to create beautiful works of art they can be proud of! These forms of expression aid in my students' development, motor skills, and individual expression!
With the need for social distancing and fully remote learning, we are trying to ensure students a quality education and learning experience.
My Project
This project will help keep students and staff safe and sound this school year! We are in full gear going through 50 masks a week and students are so dedicated to their learning! This project of masks, cleaning supplies and individual toys will keep us safe in the classroom and throughout the day. These supplies will aid in students needs for oral motion, being able to acquire a dry mask when needed. These supplies will also allow students to explore and learn with a complete kitchen area. We are excited about being able to learn in person and want to remain as safe as possible!
