Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our kindergarten students are energetic, curious, and eager to learn through hands-on experiences. Every day, they engage in a variety of activities that support their growth in reading, math, science, and the arts. Our classrooms are filled with materials that foster creativity and learning, but keeping everything safe and organized is a constant challenge, especially with young children. Many of our supplies—such as scissors, art materials, manipulatives, and cleaning products—are currently stored on open shelves or in bins that students can easily access. This sometimes leads to spills, lost items, or safety concerns with materials that require adult supervision.
To create a safer and more efficient learning environment, we are requesting three locking storage cabinets for the hallway between our classrooms.
These cabinets will allow us to securely store materials that need to be kept out of reach of young children, as well as organize supplies so they are easy to access when needed for lessons. With secure and organized storage, we can protect important classroom tools from damage or loss and spend less time on clean-up, giving us more time to focus on learning. Locking cabinets will also help us manage learning materials more effectively, allowing for smoother lesson transitions and more engaging, well-prepared activities.
This project will make a meaningful difference in our classrooms. The addition, these cabinets will improve safety, protect our materials, and create a more organized space that supports both teaching and learning.
