Help me give my students resources and materials that make their mental health journey more comfortable with variety of workbooks for both male and female students, fidgets that help with dealing with uncomfortable emotions, and overall comfortable space.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work directly with vulnerable youth and these material will help to provide a more comfortable space and an array of materials to engage them and teach them valuable skills in regulating their emotions, expressing themselves and problem solving. Having reading materials, workbooks, & fidgets provides a space where students can feel appreciated and respected when feeling overwhelmed so that they can recenter and return to class to be successful. Different art materials help to provide students with an opportunity to explore their creative sides along with providing opportunity for students to find different creative strengths they may possess.
