My Project

Creating a calm corner in an ERI (Emotional Regulation Intervention) classroom can make a world of difference in helping students manage emotions and find a sense of peace in a busy, often overwhelming environment. This special space provides a safe, comforting retreat where students can engage in self-regulation activities, decompress, and regain focus. To build a calming corner that truly supports emotional well-being, we’re in need of specific items that foster relaxation, focus, and grounding. Simple tools like soft cushions, fidget toys, stress-relief balls, calming visuals, and weighted toys can all help create a soothing atmosphere.

Your contributions will go directly toward providing these necessary items and building a peaceful sanctuary where students can thrive emotionally and academically.

In addition, snacks can play an important role in helping to maintain calmness and energy levels. Calming snacks like chews or chips can provide both physical and emotional nourishment, supporting focus and mood stability. This combination helps individuals find their center, making the Calm Corner a vital part of emotional regulation and overall well-being in the classroom. Every little bit helps create a space that promotes mindfulness and emotional health in our classroom!
