This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Despite being in a pandemic, my students attend classes daily with a desire to learn. They bring with them a passion to tackle whatever the day has in store. They work hard to achieve their goals, while always maintaining a positive attitude. This group has been attending school during the COVID19 pandemic since kindergarten, so they appreciate every moment spent together in an actual classroom.

My students come from varying ethnic backgrounds, and have learned to embrace and celebrate diversity.They are a diverse group that embodies the melting pot that our community is well known for.

My Project

Having a classroom was something we took for granted during the COVID 19 pandemic. Now that we are back for in person learning, we are getting accustomed to having desks and workspaces that are clean, clutter free, and organized.

Third graders are learning organizational skills.

Their desks now contain more materials that need to be kept tidy. It can become overwhelming for a child to keep all of their belongings in one area, so seat sacks would alleviate that. Spending less time organizing all materials into one space will give us more time for learning. In addition, students will have somewhere to store more personal items.
