My Project
Learning changes the physical structure of the brain. Peace, safety, and sufficiency allow a space where learning occurs with greater ease. That is my intention in this Head Start classroom. These very young children have already encountered multiple challenges and it is the goal of the program to give these at-risk youth a fair chance at success.
School supplies being available in the classroom means that students focus on learning and dreaming big rather than worrying about what they lack.
Most of my student's homes are Public Housing and purchasing school supplies is not always possible. All of these supplies will make our classroom colorful, engaging, and there will be PLENTY of items for students to learn with as they start their educational journey.
