My Students

I’m so incredibly blessed to be teaching Kindergarten this year. My students love coming to school and are always so excited to be here. I teach in a Title I school where we strive to provide our students with the best educational experience possible. I am inspired by the research surrounding the importance of play in a child's life. This research has led me to have a Reggio-inspired classroom. I believe in providing an educational experience that will provoke creativity, imagination, exploration, and wonderment.

My Project

The items in this project will be placed around the room to encourage and bring in various science aspects. The plants will allow the student to become part of the classroom community by helping to sustain and water the plants. The students will also have the opportunity to investigate how things grow. This will be supported by the plant that is in resin to show the growth of plants. We will also have the opportunity to discuss how various insects can help plants to grow as well. My students will have the opportunity to openly explore the items as they will be in their environment throughout the year.
