Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Between 50-60 students in grades 1-5 are members of our school's running program. Most students train and run during their scheduled physical education instruction time during the school day, while others train and run before or after school. Students are extremely excited about running and are very proud of the accomplishments they make in the sport and maintaining great physical fitness and levels of health. This in turn, creates a positive effect on academic achievement and the development of positive social skills.
Students love receiving incentives for running.
The incentives include customized t-shirts, water bottles, medals, etc.. With the addition of a sublimation printer, students will be able to design t-shirts, race singlets, sweatshirts, stickers, and medal designs and print them in suitable color ink for clothing iron-ons or vinyl stickers.
