Running Our Own Pizza Business With Osmo!

My students need an Osmo Genius Kit, Pizza game and Mindracer game to learn financial literacy concepts.

My Students

My students are amazing and enthusiastic learners. They have a zest for life. They require extra support in all areas of learning, including financial literacy. My students have multiple and severe disabilities which makes learning a challenge. They learn best through real life experiences and hands-on activities. Depending on their disability they require different levels of support and accessiblity.

Financial literacy is an important life skill that my students need to begin to learn now and they need to be able to access these lessons in a format that is accessible to them..

My students require engaging activities and resources to help them learn. I need to provide as many experiences as possible to help stimulate learning.

My Project

Financial literacy is a skill that kids need to start learning early. Especially for kids who take a bit longer to learn new skills. My students will greatly benefit from an Osmo Genius kit to learn basic math and reading concepts. Additionally, the Osmo Pizza Co. game is designed to specifically teach financial literacy concepts. The Osmo Hot Wheels Mindracer game use tokens in friendly competitions to build dexterity skills which is important for my students with motor impairments.

The Osmo Genius Kit, Pizza game, and Hot Wheel Mindracer game will be used to teach my students how to run and grow a business while learning addition, subtraction, fractions, and money skills.

The Osmo game format is highly engaging and also develops dexterity and communication skills. The format is great for nonverbal learners to be able to learn from.
