it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
They are interested in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and improving their physical fitness. They are looking forward to the challenge of building long distance running endurance. Having a set goal of completing running events and following through teaches them how perseverance yields success. This is a lesson that can be applied to all parts of their lives
The students are inquisitive, bright, and enthusiastic learners.
Unfortunately, many families are experiencing unemployment, evictions, COVID-19, and loss of loved ones. Many students in our community live in small apartments or homes where they live with several families due to the high cost of living. Some families can't afford to buy basic school supplies for their children, much less items needed for long distance running.
My Project
Your donations will help our school's running club to have runners accessories to be able to train and reach their goal. These running items will provide comfort for students while training and will teach them the necessary skills for preparing for a running event.
The families of our runners are unable to buy the proper equipment that the students need to participate in long-distance running.
Quality water bottles, waist band packs and headbands will help students train for long-distance running. The waistband packs allow students to use while running to be able to carry snacks and necessary items for their long distance run. The water bottles are a great running accessory that allows students to stay hydrated throughout their races. Obtaining the necessary athletic equipment from DonorsChoose will provide students the necessary resources to train and reach their goal.
