My Project
I have honor of teaching Pre-K through 4th grade, and physical activity and play is a vital part of their growth and development. Spinning and rolling, in particular, are essential to a child's vestibular and proprioceptive development, which help them maintain posture and balance while playing, and also keeps them aware of their body position in space.
My sweet and energetic students love all of the games we play, especially when they involve climbing and rolling.
Sadly, our current mats are very old, and are coming apart at the seams. New mats will help keep them safe while we continue to learn and play, and the balance tools will enhance their motor skill development and focus.
