This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is for my amazing track and field student-athletes that have been trying to adjust to a new world with COVID. This project will supply the team with equipment such as backpacks for keeping their uniform and spikes. The school has recently lost all its funding for any sports-related activity. Additionally, the school does not have the funding to pay for the students to practice at the armory, which limits us to only practice at the school. Obtaining the bookbag will increase my students' motivation and consistency. Also, providing the student-athletes with a personal backpack will provide the students with accountability to keep all their track-related gear in one place.
