Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students benefit from hands-on activities.
Hands-on learning also supports critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
The giant base-ten activity will give them opportunities to manipulate the giant blocks to learn one, two and three digit numbers.
The multiplication poster will be a daily activity where we recite the multiplication tables.
The regrouping board will give them chances to physically create up to three digit numbers to show understanding.
The grab and match activities are for independent work where they match fractions with pictures and/or the place value with the correct graphic.
