Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how much my students enjoy spending time in the library. If they have a free period and want to study, cozy up with a good book or catch up with a friend, they often come to the library.
The school library is a safe space for students.
I want them to feel comfortable spending time here and hope they realize that libraries are sanctuary spaces in their lives.
A large area rug will help define the back space of the library and encourage comfort and warmth. A new easel will help with mini-lessons in various areas of the library.
